Well, "addiction" may be a bit dramatic but it was 3 in the morning and I NEEED to paint. As I mentioned in an earlier blog all of my paints are in my secret studio in a storage unit. So.... I took a photo my friend Kevin Gant asked to make into an album cover for him and: 1. Cut up a printout of the photograph and pasted the pieces onto a blank canvas that I had. 2. I found this kid on youtube about 3 months ago. His ability at playing Jazz piano at age 12 is...practically impossible. But he's doing it and if Joey can play like a 30 year old seasoned Jazz pianist, then I can be artist.... Check out Joey's performance at the Grammys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QumdhgIghRs

I am an artist! I write it with an exclamation point because I need this truth to sink in. You see, I started painting in December of 2015. Two months into my life as an artist I've already sold a couple of pieces using an awesome website named vangoart.com. My steady progress has befuddled me and also emotionally moved me because I've always loved art. And somehow, someway.... today I am an artist! There are more details to come in my future posts.
